Kelley Carlstrom Online Oncology Courses For Pharmacists

 Hi, I'm Kelley!

My mission is to bring hope and optimism back to the pharmacy profession because everyone deserves access to specialty training that can transform their career.

I am a residency-trained, board-certified oncology pharmacist that has practiced in large academic and small community hospitals. I have effectively taught countless students, residents, nurses, physicians, and non-healthcare providers. I can help you learn oncology too.

You CAN learn oncology!

What students are saying about the course:

“I learned the foundation/basic concepts of oncology which I don’t think I would have been able to gain from reading the BCOP book. The material was presented in a way that was very conducive to learning. It was well paced and was well supplemented with reading materials. “

“I really appreciated ALL of the lessons. They were very well structured. I work for a payor, and all of the videos helped me understand what's important in oncology. I think all of the videos were impactful, but if I had to choose some, I would say that the clinical pearls and practice case were really great because I was able to apply the knowledge.”

“I am an oncology beginner so it was all impactful. Perhaps the most impactful was learning (re-learning!) how to calculate BSA so I don't have to rely on the computer numbers.”

“Providing a patient case to practice the concepts presented was most impactful.”

“It was all very good and thorough. I like that you reviewed cancer origination and clinical trial terminology.”

“This was a great refresher course for many things but also provided details I hadn't learned yet. Details about NCCN guidelines were helpful and DNA/cell cycle review was probably the most helpful! It had been too long!”

“A good foundational overview on the basics of oncology. Well-rounded and very helpful to fill in gaps of knowledge around resources available, and basics of the cell cycle which I haven't entertained since pharmacy school.“

For me, already having had a years worth of on the job training, it was so nice to refresh on the basics…. Cell cycle, definitions (sarcoma va carcinoma), details about staging, performance status breakdown, etc. The presentation was clear, well-paced and the slides are visually appealing.“

“I am new to oncology as a pharmacist. Literally everything was impactful to me.”

I feel more prepared for a job interview and if hired know where to begin asking questions intelligently - best part was knowing where to go for help like NCCN.”

“I appreciated the highly actionable information. The course presented clear step-by-step examples of how exactly to implement this guidance into everyday practice.”

“It was so nice to have had this refresher and to cover some basics that I didn’t even realize I had questions about. I consider it a valuable use of my time and am even more-so looking forward to diving into the program fully. I enjoyed the overview and every topic that was brought up.”

You have given me the confidence to try something new after 29 years in retail pharmacy
